Sometimes, "religion" get one confused on what the standards are and what they are not. There are times one feel like not giving a damn and just do his thing his own way, no laws, no rules, no regulations, no regret. The wickedness and hatred of some of these religious folks are sometimes worse than those of the so-called un-believers. The best option sometimes seem to be; yielding to temptation to do all the wrong one can, enjoy the best of pleasure on earth and just prepare for hell cause of what essence is being a priest when an un-believing Samaritan does the job real good?
How come women who wear trousers and have their body properly covered are condemned at sight, while others who ride motorcycles in skirt as riders and mount ladders, exposing the colours, fabrics and designer of their undergarments and the highway that lies between their legs are praised and seen as the decent christian ! I stand corrected, is the clothing the crime or the purpose for which it is worn? Should decency be judged by mentality or by appearance?
I once lived in a neighbourhood where dope addicts have their den, smoke like exhaust pipes, and drink like camels. My "holy brothers" hardly exchanged greetings with them let alone propose a hug for the fear of contracting the virus of sin I guess. They accused other brethren of falling from faith because they shared meals with these so-tagged sinners, sat amidst them as they took the risk of enlightening these fellow humans who desire nothing but love,about the hidden pain that masks itself behind those drugs and the promise of a better life worth the sacrifice of abandoning those venoms. Then I watched in amusement the day my "Spirit-filled-to-the-teeth" brothers boldly brought their Bibles during an evangelism program and started serving "gospelic" meals of condemnation to these lost souls they had come to find. Their poetry was strong enough to create fear as they praised hell for its surplus sulphur. My neighbour's dumb duck must have been irritated cos it released a watery pile of dung as it walked past them in disgust.... These souls actually preferred to stay lost even if these preachers were the only gate to eternal life....so they said !
How come we find it easy to write off the drunks and the lost based on their imperfection, denying them the love we ought to share, but quick to justify the little dark rum added as ingredient to that church cake? Don't they both go down the belly all the same? Habba !!!
How come we castigate, abandon and spite fallen brethren in the race of faith, spreading suicidal words around, insinuating that these fallen soldiers have only been living in pretence the whole time, instead of offering a helping hand, standing for & by them while encouraging them that there's strength available for recovery and better growth? Didn't the Holy Book say the righteous who fall seven times will surely rise again?
How come we've become so spiritually addicted to the point of wickedness where we hate people who do not honour our church invitation, or hearken to the gospel we preach?
I was once given a pamphlet loaded to fullstop with end-time message, it was a blessing until I got to the end part where a well orchestrated curse that makes a lunatic long for suicide was attached in the name of Christ if I did not make 10 photocopies and share with others. I looked around and saw people who had read the tract, race to business centres to make copies and share desperately to evade those pronunciation inspired from the pit of hell. Then I wondered what the purpose of the article initially was? To create a scene of ignoramus running around like mosquitoes scampering for safety at the appearance of "Raid" or to spread the Unconditional Love of The Father?
We wonder why souls are being lost more than they are won. Flash news !!! They aren't fighting this much battle in their unbelief like we do in our crazy beliefs ! Before you think they don't wanna serve God, it is in man's nature to serve something higher than him so its high time we stopped looking at these folks like they don't want to believe, its not like they don't want to, they really are scared not to, we are the ones giving them more reasons not to....In their hearts I hear them say anyone who doesn't, has a first class ticket straight to hell....and the rest?.....A MYSTERY
So Dear Atheist, when you're tempted to use a fellow man as yardstick to living the right life, remember that the Most High is the only standard, He's not interested in your exile for His hands are open wide, in Him alone lies the worthy life. Besides, Lucifer only get to be thrown in the bottomless pit while the mislead rot in hell, if I were you, I'll think twice and stop playing the fool for the activity of nature itself testifies to the existence of the Almighty !
