WHAT WE OWE OUR M.O.Gs !!!

We find it easy to sit in the back and lash out at a "Man" of God while we shield our own unblown secret weaknesses and imperfections. Isn't it funny how easy it is for us to believe blood flows through our veins but assume something else flows through theirs? We easily forget the times they've stood by,with & for us, came to our defence & rescue once and again, prayed, sacrificed their time, health, money and rest, just to see us overcome that challenge. We barge into their offices, empty their annointing, strength, time and emotional bank while leaving them to go fill it up from wherever. We often engage their lines and expect encouragement every time without even remembering that they've got challenges too.
How many times have we dedicated days to praying and fasting for a friend, neighbour or colleague at work? How many times have we done an in-depth study and intense grieving in the Spirit to help find solution to another man's problem? How many times have we had to settle our selfish self first before considering somebody else? How many times have we dedicated a single day to sharing words of encouragement and upliftment with others while forgetting about ourselves? If you think answering every phone call is as easy as it seems or starting a church is shortcut to meeting your financial needs, or managing a home, keeping a marriage, raising kids, loving adamant members and overseeing every department of the church while still chasing after the lost without going insane is easy business, you can as well start yours today and publish the experience after a year. We tend to forget how many times we've messed up but these same humans won't let go of us, believing in us and charging us up that we can do it right, never condemning and never casting us out even when everyone in our life has. Yet, we find it easy and comfortable to share drinks and tear them apart when they err "once a year".
Our M.O.Gs also need our support!!! If we can't find that in our heart, then silence is golden. Blowing out another man's candle doesn't make yours shine brighter. Publicising their imperfection or disappointment does not make us stronger. If we can't be part of a man's solution at least let's make sure we aren't one his headaches !!! Whatever happened to the Holy Book's admonishment to sharing each other's troubles and problems, and Bill Withers' much sung "Lean on Me", I really don't know.
Fellowship gets better when we love and pray for our prophets and we can all start right here
